Orientation Programme for MBBS freshers held at DMCH

Ludhiana, October 3, 2016: An orientation programme for students of new MBBS Batch-2016 was held. The programme began with introductory session by Assistant Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal. In his address, Dr Kaushal briefly introduced the students and their parents about the academic and extracurricular activities being held in the institute. Those present on the occasion were Vice Presidents of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Amrit Nagpal & Sh Gian Chand Dhawan, Secretary Sh Prem Kumar Gupta and other members of Managing Society.

Vice Principal and Chief Cardiologist, Hero DMC Heart Institute- Dr GS Wander enlightened the students about various aspects of medical profession and alled upon them to render hard work and dedication for building a bright future.

Principal Dr Sandeep Puri extended warm welcome to all those present on the occasion. In his welcome address, Dr Puri expressed happiness of admitting first batch of 100 students. Till last year, the MBBS seats in DMCH was limited upto 75 only. Dr Puri, further said that the college accounted for very good infrastructure and efficient faculty and urged the new comers to take full advantage of the same for becoming successful medical professionals and serve society. He stressed upon to lay emphasis on punctuality and discipline for overall development of the personality of a student. The HODs of various specialties were introduced in person to the students.

Dean Academics- Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina said emphasized that DMCH is committed to obtain the highest academic excellence by enriching the inquisitive minds of its students with the latest research findings and most up-to-date and advanced scientific knowledge and information on various subjects of medicine. The freshers also introduced themselves to the audience and acknowledged the hard work and contribution of their parents and teachers to enable them to reach at this stage.
