OPA MEMBERS present during launch of Fire & Accident Safety Guide

Ludhiana, February 27, 2013: Offset Printers' Association, Ludhiana launched a Book as a safety measures for the Newspapers, Printing Presses and Box Making Factories at its South City Office today.

This book briefly covers the safety measures and precautions to be take care due to fire and water in production & storage units.

Kamal Chopra (General Secretary), Sanjay Gandhi (Vice President) and all the member of executive committee were present at the launch of this book.

Sanjay Gandhi during his address on this occasion said, “That this book is one of the major steps taken by the OPA to educate the printers of this region about maintaining and upgrading the safety measures taken by them currently. As we all know, “Prevention is better than Cure”, he added.

The book covers the high fire load represented by paper, as well as its presence in form of cuttings and dust and also inks, alcohol and solvents in the production processes all generate a high fire risk in the industrial activities of printing presses and box making factories. This guide aims to help business people in this sector with the task of identifying and analysing the risks associated with the activity and setting up prevention measures in order to achieve reasonable safety levels for people and property.

Harvinder Singh, executive member appreciated the initiative taken by OPA on release of this guide and informed that OPA had also published book on price & costing prior to this which was appreciated by many printers & associate members.
