OPA Member wins National Award For Excellence In Printing

Ludhiana, September 29, 2015: Many Printers from Punjab participated in the NAEP 2015, OPA';s Member, M/s Kamal Printers from Ludhiana won 2 Silver National Awards for Excellence in Printing 2015. Its third year in a row that they have received this prestigious award. 
 
The National Award for Excellence in Printing award, this year, was hosted by Sivakasi Master Printers Association, Sivakasi (SMPA) on behalf of AIFMP.
 
The coveted awards honoring quality printing in India were presented on 25.9.2015, at Leela Palace, Chennai. Prof. M.S. Swaminathan, Chairman, M.S.Swamination Research Foundaton and Dr. K. Sivan, The Director, ISRO, Mahendragiri, were the Chief Guest and distributed the awards. The annual competition’s 10th edition was hosted by the The Sivakasi Master Printers Association. 
 
As per AMSG Ashokan, Chairman NAEP 2015, "This year at NAEP2015, 1463 entries were received from Printing fraternity across India. Eminent juries from all over the country were invited, and they were equipped with state of the art latest software and bar coding system to evaluate the entries. A classic "Maestro Book" has also been released on the occasion."
 
The NAEP was instituted by the All India Federation of Master Printers, New Delhi (AIFMP) in 1999 to celebrate the quest for quality that is at the heart of the printing industry. According to a press release by the Delhi-headquartered Federation, the aim of these awards is to showcase Indian printers’ achievements and contributions and to create awareness about their capabilities.
 
Delivering his keynote, Nobel Prize nominee Prof MS Swaminathan, who is hailed as "the Indian Father of Green Revolution", said, "Excellence in any field should be the mission of any industry."
 
Dr Sivan, director and scientist, ISRO, Trivandrum, distributed the awards and enthralled the audience with the details of India';s frugal yet efficient space programmes.
 
Ramit Saxena owner at Kamal Printers said "Our team at Kamal Printers, always strive to achieve perfection in every print job we do. We  are thankful the Offset Printers Association Ludhiana for providing an opportunity to us to participate in this highly prestigious Competition. OPA has been providing guidelines to its members for improving the printing quality." They got the Silver National Award for one of their Wedding Invitations which had 18 Colours Printing on it and another Silver award was given to them for Point of Sales Material.
 
“I feel extremely happy for the winning printers. It shows that quality of printing done by Ludhiana Printers is at par with national standards,” said Mr. Parveen Aggarwal, President OPA. “The hard work done by OPA team to bring technological up-gradation, skill development and Exhibition visits have brought fruits for the printing fraternity here in Ludhiana,” commented Mr. Kamal Chopra, General Secretary of the association.
