Online approval of building maps started in Punjab

Ludhiana, August 16, 2018: Punjab Government has finally started online approval of building maps in all local bodies of state from 15th August.
Two online maps were successfully submitted on first day. In beginning soft as well as hard copies will be accepted so as to facilitate all but after few weeks strictly online maps will be accepted. From today only submission of hard copies is not allowed as informed by senior officers from Local Government, Punjab.

Today final launching ceremony was attended by many secretaries, commissioners, ATPs, STPs, MTPs of Local Bodies Department, Punjab along with architects from Indian Institute of Architects Punjab Chapter.
Navjot Singh Sidhu, Minister for Local Government, Punjab was Chief Guest. He told gathering that it was long pending issue of Punjab Government and Architects. It will bring a big change in development of Punjab. There will be highest transparency and least corruption. There will be no need to visit corporations and committees for approval of maps. CLU too will be done online. In coming times income of Local Bodies shall increase and all controls of properties including water supply, taxes, sewerage/garbage disposal will be online.
Ar Sanjay Goel, Chairman, IIA, Punjab Chapter and Director Ludhiana Smart City Ltd presented vote of thanks to Punjab Government and Local Bodies Department. He told the gathering that it will definitely be best step for more disciplined and livable Punjab.
Meeting was also attended by Commissioner of Ludhiana Municipal Corporation, Additional Chief Secretary- Local Government, Director - Local Government Punjab, Secretary Local Government and more than 300 persons.
