A view of 1-day workshop being organised at HMV, Jalandhar.
Jalandhar, August 21, 2015: R.Venkataraman Chemical Society of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organised One Day workshop on computational chemistry under DBT grant. Principal Dr.Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj welcomed the resource person. Dr. P.V. Bhartam along with 10 computational scholars from NIPER, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Mohali conducted the workshop.
He enlightened the students about the basics of computational chemistry and also enumerated huge benefits of computational chemistry in future research scenario. He discussed the structure of different molecules using Gaussian View – 09. 210 students have been given hand on experience to solve some of the practical problems using latest softwares like Chem - 2D, Chem - 3D & Gaussian 09.
The team also guided the students to join the various avenues in latest research fields. Mrs. Jyoti Kaul (HOD), Dr. Neelam Sharma, Mrs. Deepshikha, Dr. Ekta Khosla, Dr. Aparna Sharma, Mrs. Asha Gupta and Mrs. Narinder were also present. Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj encouraged the students to use such latest methodologies and express their gratitude towards Dr. Bhartam for such informative experience.
