One day Safety Training Programme on General Engineering organised at Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala

Kapurthala, March 21, 2017: A One day Safety Training Programme on General Engineering was organised jointly by Director of Factories, Punjab, Chandigarh and Punjab Industrial Safety Council, Chandigarh at RCF, Kapurthala.

The programme was held at Technical Training Centre, Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala. Shri N.K.Nandanwar , Chief Workshop Engineer /Shell & Factory Manager welcomed Shri Kashmir Singh , Joint Director of Factories (Punjab), Chandigarh & Shri P C Gupta, Chief Mechanical Engineer( Factory Occupier).

Shri P C Gupta, Chief Mechanical Engineer said that RCF is conscious about the safety and welfare of its employees and contractual workers. He stressed on the need to observe safety at every field of work and the work must be performed by adopting safe working methods and safety gadgets/Personal Protective Equipments and should be strictly adhered to.

Shri Kashmir Singh, Joint Director of Factories (Punjab), Chandigarh, in his address said that safety is a collective responsibility. Every body should be aware about the safe work and they should observe safety in all steps of life. He stated that now-a-days, Road safety is a burning issue as maximum causalities happened with road accidents and this is our prime responsibility to observe all safety rules/regulations while driving.

50 supervisors and technicians of RCF participated in this training programme during which lectures were delivered by experts on Industrial safety. Shri Manoj Mehta Chief Safety Officer/RCF delivered lecture on Chemical Safety, Shri Balkar Singh, Chief Instructor on General Safety, Shri G.P. Singh CI on Electrical Safety and Shri Rameshwar Singh Chief Instructor presented lecture on Fire Safety .

During the Valedictory session, Shri Kashmir Singh , Joint Director of Factories (Punjab), Chandigarh and Shri Gurjent Singh, ADF/Phagwara issued the certificates to all participants in this training programme. In his vote of thanks , Shri Narinder Kumar,Works Manager/Monitoring stressed that team work and the safe system can only be maintained by the collective efforts as well as co-ordination of all. He appreciate the initiatives taken by RCF management in holding programmes on safety every year and also providing safe working environment to one and all.
