Old age allowance admissible to only All India Service pensioners

Chandigarh, October 10, 2012: The Punjab government has provided relief to pensioners and family pensioners belonging to All Indian services of Punjab Cadres by granting them old age allowance.

Disclosing this here, an official spokesperson of government said that the Finance Department clarified that grant of old age allowance is applicable to the pensioners/family pensioners related to the Punjab cadre of All India Services. He said that instructions in this regard have been issued to all departmental heads, Commissioners of Divisions and Deputy Commissioners in the state.
