OFFICER bearers of Punjab Kabbadi association elected: Maluka

Chandigarh, July 18, 2013: The Punjab Kabbadi association has unanimously elected 81 Officer Bearers including patron and President. This new committee has been elected for four years from 2013-2017.

Disclosing this here today President of the Association and Education Minister, Punjab Sikander Singh Maluka said that this newly elected committee would work for four years. He said that Punjab Kabbadi association is the sole sports body having affiliation with Olympic Association. He said that the Punjab Kabbadi association has two votes in each district.

Maluka further said that the Members have been elected unanimously in which Dalmegh Singh has be chosen as Patron and he himself (Sikander Singh Maluka) has been elected as President of the Kabbadi association. He said that Kewal Singh Takhar would be the chairman whereas Kamaljit Singh would serve the Punjab Kabbadi association as Treasurer. He said that four senior vice Presidents, six vice Presidents, one General Secretary, three secretaries, and six joint secretaries have also been elected.

He said that members for technical committee, Jury Appeal Committee, Selection Committee-National Style (Boys), Selection Committee-Circle Style (Boys), Selection Committee-National Style (Girls) and Selection Committee-Circle Style (Girls) have also been elected.

Speaking about the forthcoming 4th world kabbadi Cup in November, 2013, Maluka said that 17 International teams are participated the tournament. He said that 10 male and 7 women teams have confirmed their participation. He said that more International teams are willing to participate in the tournament but their entry in the 4th world Kabbadi Cup would be decided by the four member committee.
