Ferozepur, January 12, 2013: "To give Satluj river water to Pakistan which killed our  soldiers  by entering into our territory by violating the LoC agreement, is a shame for us", said Subhash Sehgal, Spokesman of Rajasthan Sangharsh Committee after touring the Satluj river area in Fazilka alongwith his team.

Sehgal said, India should provide water to Rajasthan instead of giving to Pakistan so that the people of Rajasthan could also progress.

Adding, he told that about 300-400 cusecs water is flowing to Pakistan whereas the Rajasthan the adjoining state in India is short of water and at most places the drinkable water is not available in Rajsthan.

He further said that the officials of Rajasthan government are not giving importance to water issue and on return to Rajasthan, they will compel the Rajasthan to personally visit Fazilka to see the flow of water when the people of Rajasthan have to travel 50 to 100 KMs to get water.

He also said that there is no shortage of water in Punjab and it should be passed on to Rajasthan after clearing on using it in Punjab otherwise he will take up the matter to the court.
