OBC Circle Office Ludhiana under leadership of Surendra Kumar Verma DGM (Circle Head) celebrates Bank’s 77th Foundation Day
Ludhiana, February 19, 2019: Oriental Bank of Commerce celebrated its 77th Foundation Day today at its Ludhiana office at Ferozepur Road. Oriental Bank of Commerce was established on 19th February 1943 under the leadership of Late Sh.Rai Bahadur Lala Sohan Lal at Lahore. Circle Office Ludhiana, under the leadership of Sh.Surendra Kumar Verma, Deputy General Manager (Circle Head) celebrated the day with blood donation and dental checkup camp (in association with Clove Dental) organized at different locations in Ludhiana and Moga. Mr.Anil Kaul (AGM), Mr.Sanjeev Ranjan (AGM), Mr.Somesh Singh (AGM), Mr.Bhushan Sharma (AGM) along with all the staff was present on this occasion. A total 177 units of blood were collected. All the staff members paid tribute to the soldiers martyred in Pulwama attack. Oriental bank of Commerce came out of RBI’s PCA framework on January 31, 2019. It is progressing towards being a model bank of Retail and MSME credit. The bank has also been actively participating in promotion of various government schemes such as Prashan Mantri Mudra Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana. On the occasion, Orison Super Specialty Hospital Infertility and Trauma Centre, Ludhiana also organised BP and Diabetes check up camp free of cost.
