Awareness programme under Swacch Bharat Summer Internship
Jalandhar, July 15, 2019: Shaheed Ajit Singh Naujwan Society organised an awareness programme at Chadha Chemistry Sansthan, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar.
The event was organised under Swacch Bharat Summer Internship. It was organised under the directions of Nehru Yuva Kendra Jalandhar coordinator Rashmeet Kaur and programme coordinator Sandeep Kumar.
The society's chief patron Prof Ravinder Chadha presided over the programme.
The young member of the society Rishabh Chadha apprised the gathering about ill-effects of plastic. He said plastic products were very harmful for environment. He stressed on the need to stop use of plastic products.
The gathering took an oath not to use plastic products in the future.
Speaking on the occasion, the society president Deepak Mohindru said, "We should stop use of plastic carry bags", adding, "We must use paper or cloth bags in daily life." He also laid stress on planting more saplings for maintaining ecological balance.
Shubham, Aman, Manjeet Singh, Mahadev, Nagendra Chadha, Vishal and others were present.
