Chandigarh, October 28, 2012: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal would neither meet MPs, MLAs and the senior party leaders nor general public on October 30 and 31, due to some pressing engagements.
Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that Badal would be participating in the meeting of National Water Resources Council, to be presided over by the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh at New Delhi, so he would not attend his office on Tuesday October 30 to meet the MPs, MLAs and the senior party leaders from 11am to 12:30 pm as per schedule. Likewise on the same day, the Chief Minister would also be unavailable to the general public from 4 to 6 pm at his residence.
The spokesperson further said that as the Chief Minister would be away to Himachal Pradesh for campaigning of state assembly elections there on October 31 so he would be unable to meet MPs, MLAs and senior party leaders besides general public on Wednesday also.
Inconvenience caused to MPs, MLAs besides general public was highly regretted, the spokesperson added.
