NOMINATIONS invited for national awards in e-governance

Chandigarh, July 22, 2013: The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances has invited nominations from all the Departments, Boards, Corporations and Authorities of Punjab Government for the National Awards to be conferred for e-Governance for the year 2013-14.   

While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Department said that these awards were conferred by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances in collaboration with Department of Information Technology, Government of  India in recognition to promoting excellence in implementation of e-Governance initiatives.

He said that these awards would be presented in categories of Excellence in Government Process Re-engineering, Exemplary Re-use of ICT-based solutions, Outstanding Performance in Citizen-Centric Service Delivery, Innovative use of Technology in e-Governance, Innovative use of ICT by PSUs for Customer’s Benefits, Best Government Portal and Specific Sectoral Award for the current year  would be given on Health care programmes.

He said that nominations of deserving initiatives could send to the Department by July 31, 2013. The awards would be presented during the 17th National Conference on e-Governance to be held in January 2014. More information could be obtained from website of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, on www. darpg.nic.in, he added.
