Dharamsala, January 4, 2014: Expressing deep concern over the declining decency in the State politics and malicious propaganda beyond limits, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that he had no personal grudge or ill will against anybody adding that every political party should consider about maintaining a certain level of modesty besides mutual cooperation and amity in the larger interest of the State.
He was addressing a public meeting at Ramleela Ground at Amb in district Una today. The Chief Minister said that he had been extensively touring different parts of the state since the Congress government took over. This has not only helped in accelerating the pace of developmental projects but also resolving the grievances of the people at their door steps.
Earlier, Chief Minister laid foundation stone of sewerage scheme for Chintpurni town in Una district to be constructed with an amount of Rs. 8.50 crore. The scheme will be fully funded by the Chintpurni Temple Trust and will benefit 1521 people of the town besides thousands of pilgrims visiting the temple everyday.
He also inaugurated the Gindpur-Malun-Kharoh Water Supply scheme constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.20 crore. Later, he opened the Himachal textile Park of M/S Jindal Speciality Textile Limited at Thathal. The Park has been constructed at a cost of 116.62 lakh and it would provide employment to around 250 people.
Virbhadra Singh announced Rs. 5 crore for construction of bridge over Takrala khad and directed the Agricultural Marketing Board to explore the possibilities of construction of vegetable market at Amb.
He announced to upgrade Government middle schools Gagoh and Bhaloan to Government high schools and Government high school Churdu as senior secondary school. He also directed to construct new building of GSSS Jawahar. He also announced to start commerce classes in GSSS Rapoh-Misra. He also inaugurated Thakur Balwant Devi shopping complex in private sector at Amb.
Earlier in the morning, the Chief Minister paid obeisance at Mata Chintpurani temple. Irrigation & Public Health Minister Vidya Stokes said that the State government was ensuring all-round development of each area of the State and various schemes and programmes aimed at the welfare of common man had been initiated during past one year. She said that five detailed project reports amounting to Rs. 30.51 crore had been sanctioned for constructing rain water harvesting structures in Chintpurani, Gagret and Kutlehar assembly segments.
Speaking on the occasion Industries Minister, Mukesh Agnihotri said that Una district had witnessed speedy development during past one year and number of major projects had been sanctioned for the district by the State Government. Besides an ambitious Swan river channelization project, an IIIT was also being established in Una district at a cost of Rs. 922 crore and 122 crore respectively and Rs. 50 crore project had been granted approval for beautification of Chintpurani town.
Agnihotri accused the BJP of launching personal attacks on Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh to tarnish his image and divert the attention of the people from the omissions and commissions conducted by the previous BJP government in the State. He said that this was a stable government under the leadership of Virbhadra Singh and a suitable reply would be given to BJP';s false and malicious propaganda.
 He said that HPCA first registered as a Society under Society Act and got land worth crores of rupees at Shimla, Dharamshala, Nadaun and Una on a lease of Rs. one per year and later converted it into a Company at Kanpur which shows their intention of grabbing Government land. Not only this HPCA made all efforts to take hold of Annadale ground in Shimla from Army and the people close to the then Government purchased huge pieces of land around it.
Kuldeep Kumar, Chairman, State Finance Commission thanked the Chief Minister for his three-day tour of the district for sanctioning various developmental projects worth crores of rupees. He thanked the Chief Minister for attending the public grievances. He also put forth various demands of the Chintpurani area.
Rakesh Kalia, Secretary, AICC and MLA also spoke on the occasion. Preetam Singh, President, Chintpurani Block Congress welcomed the Chief Minister and others.
