NO BARRIER: Kannad’s love for Punjab

Ferozepur, October 31, 2012: A person from Karnataka, Pandit Rao Dhare, Assistant Profession in a government college of Chandigarh, on Tuesday begun his bicycle rally here to promote Punjabi language against vulgarity, with a view to create awareness amongst  the common man and the administrative officers.

Pandit Rao had a meeting with the deputy commissioner and presented a copy of Shree Japji Sahib translated into Kannad. 

A memorandum was also present to Dr. S. Karuna Raju, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur seeking contribution for promotion of Punjabi language in government offices and educational institutions.

Deputy Commissioner informed Pandit Rao that Punjabi language has already been adopted in Punjab government and educational institutions in Punjab.  He appreciated Pandit Rao, who is from Kannada and learnt Punjab so well and translated Shree Japji Saheb, Sukhmani Saheb and Zafarnams texts, a sacred scriptures of Sikh religion into Kannada language and writing 8 books in Punjab is a matter of proud for Punjab.
