Nirmal Bhartia School exhibits the creativity of budding talent at ‘Voice of Art’

~A one-of-a-kind platform, inspiring students to fight societal issues through visual arts on the theme ‘A Breath of Fresh Air’~ New Delhi, November 30, 2018: NirmalBhartia School organized an inter-school art exhibition titled‘Voice of Art’on the theme ‘A Breath of Fresh Air’ at Sanskriti Kendra, Anandgram, New Delhi.Collaborative in format, the aim of the initiative was to engage the students of classes 6 to 12 in an art-based research platform where the children are encouraged to study, ruminate and explore specific societal concerns and accordingly, articulate stimulating ideas and solutions through presenting eclectic visual art forms. This year’s theme reflected upon the deplorable and potentially hazardous quality of air in Delhi. The event was graced by an esteemed panel of experts including Dr Arunabha Ghosh, Founder-CEO of the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW); Mr. Anirudh Sharma and Mr. Nikhil Kaushik, Co-founders of Graviky Labs and Ms. Vidya Shivadas, a curator and art critic, and Director at the Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art (FICA).Mr. Binay K. Jha, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, NWR, Chandigarh & CCIT, Ludhiana & Amritsar was the special guest for the day. The exhibition also witnessed participation from some of the most renowned schools of Delhi-NCR such as Vasant Valley School, G.D. Goenka Public School, Tagore International School, Heritage Xperiential Learning School, Venkateshwar International School, Sri Venkateshwar International School, The Shri Ram School among others. Various visual art forms such as canvas, paper works, photography, digital art and installations, to name a few, were included in the exhibits. The students also shared their work through short videos and received expert comments and valuable feedback from the eminent panel of noted art educators, artists and thought leaders. Events like ‘Voice of Art 2018’offer students an interesting and engaging platform to imagine, explore and propose game-changing ideas with an intent to steer India towards betterment.” In addition, the event included interesting workshops by Ms NilanjanaNandy& Mr Rohit Mehrafor both students and teachers.
