NIE-IT’s alumni shine in the RANAI Model Management South beauty pageant

Mysore: Alumni of NIE-IT, Aishwarya and Vikas stole the show at the RANAI Beauty Pageant 2019 held at Hassan recently. While Aishwarya won the Prestigious RANAI Miss South India Title, she also won the Miss confident and miss personality subtitles. Vikas emerged as a runner up and also won Mr. Integrity Model South India subtitle. Ranai Model Management is a national modelling agency that connects top talent in fashion. With the aim to scout for talent, RANAI beauty pageant had various rounds. Expressing the delight over winning the title, Ms Aishwarya said, “It was a unique journey. I went through the auditions in Mysore and was selected for the grand finale held in Hassan in April. Based on performance of fitness, fashion, style, confidence, ‘walk-on-the ramp’ and questionnaire session, the winner was announced. Glad to hear that I had won the title. I also won Miss confident and Miss Best Personality titles. I always wanted to explore new things. Winning fashion show at NIEIT gave me the confidence. So, I went forward to participate and win this pageant. NIEIT has helped me to discover myself. Next big thing I am looking forward to, is to get selected in IAF as a pilot.” Speaking on how NIE-IT nurtured his earlier modelling days, Mr Vikas said, “I grew interest in modelling and pageant shows in the college. NIE-IT helped me in growing as an individual and the college played a vital role in my modelling interest. During my graduation, there were fashion shows and inter-college fests in my college. In the beginning I was hesitant to take part but with the support of the faculty; I began participating. In my third year of Engineering I won the title Mr. NIEIT “and from then I did not look back. Today I feel delighted to win “1st runner up” and also a subtitle “Mr. Integrity Model in the RANAI Pageant.”
