Newly elected Patiala Mayor eulogise CM

Chandigarh, September 18, 2012: The newly elected Patiala Mayor Jaspal Singh Pardhan accompanied by Cabinet Minister Surjit Singh Rakhra and Sikander Singh Maluka today called on Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal at his residence.

Thanking Chief Minster for bestowing faith upon him, Pardhan said that he would work honestly and tirelessly for the development of the city.

Badal, while congratulating the mayor asked him to work with utmost sincerity, diligence and hard work without any bias to make Patiala a dream city of the state.

CM said that Punjab Government has chalked out a programme to spend Rs.6,000 crore for the development of 142 cities of the state in coming three years.

The Mayor assured the chief minister that he would try to implement all government schemes at the ground level for the overall development.
