Jalandhar, January 12, 2015: After spending three weeks of winter-vacation, thousands of LPU students entered university campus today to join new session in the New Year 2015.  Already having a unique scrutinizing process of their answer sheets by themselves; students are now joining their ‘Even Semesters’ (2nd, 4th, 6th or 8th) with new resolutions. Commencing the session by getting their results for last semester, students seemed determined to improve upon their previous performances in each and every field. This semester is going to be very important for students for all academic, extra-curricular and allied activities. In addition to their final semester examinations of their respective years, students will also have to prove their potential in national and international level events. These events include mega cultural fests- one India & one World; annual sports day participation; first time in India electric-bike racing championship; and, science conference.

Wishing students a prosperous and progressive New Year 2015, LPU Chancellor Ashok Mittal exclaimed: “I am happy to see you all thronging the campus vibrantly. In this new session, I confidently expect fabulous achievements through you so that you add more glory to yourself and the university.  You will have to start with more of hard-work to prove your mettle.”

Coming back from almost all the states of India and many countries, students were also seen exchanging new-year greetings with their class-fellows and teachers. One of the students Tejasvini of B Tech ECE from Tamil Nadu shared: “The time is to grow like an all rounder to be globally fit. This session I am determined to actively participate in all activities to get developed as a truly global citizen.” Another student Thinley Wangchuk of MA Leadership & Management from Bhutan expressed: “Along with regular theoretical & practical lessons, LPU keeps on providing us to reach and share numerous prestigious platforms. These include international conferences and interactions with top leaders and celebrities. We expect more of miscellaneous activities this year, too, to broaden our vision.”
