Volunteers participate in Swatch Bharat Abhyan at Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo.
Talwandi Sabo, November 7, 2014: As Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo has joined heads and hands for the Swatch Bharat Abhyan since last month. GKU was organised various rallies & cleanliness project in and outside the Campus. On the same lines Guru Kashi University’s NSS Unit organized one day Cleanliness Camp in the Kalpna Chawla Girls Hostel. Around 50 volunteers from Computer Applications & Management College participated in this camp. Dr. D.R. Godara, Dean Students Welfare, Dr. Arun Kumar Kansal, Dean Basic Sciences and Prof. Jitin Sharma, NSS coordinator guided the students during this cleanliness programme.
During this camp, volunteers cleaned pantry area, dining area, garden area, lawns and indoor activity halls. Dr. N.S. Malhi, Vice Chancellor Guru kashi University appreciated the efforts of NSS Unit, staff volunteers for this series of cleanliness work. He also appealed the students to develop this habit in their behaviors only than we can achieve the real objective of this campaign.
Sukhraj Singh Sidhu, Managing Director lauded the efforts of everybody associated with this project & said this will spread the message of cleanliness to the every corner of society through the students.
