Ferozepur, September 12, 2012: The deputy commissioner, Ferozepur, Dr.S.Karuna Raju, directed all the Block Development and Panchayat Officers of the district, in meeting held in his chamber to release the pension to all pensioners on time so that they may not face any difficulty.
On this occasion, Amrik Singh, DDPO and officers of social welfare department were also present.
Dr.Raju said, “Panchayat Department officers should ensure that the pension is disbursed on time all pensions and to monitor this, a seven member committee may be constituted and regular reports from the concerned Sarpanches and Panchayat secretaries may be obtained”.
Dr.Raju further said, “Negligence will not be tolerated in the pension cases and the benefit of Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme, should be extended to the maximum beneficiaries.
