Navin’s recognized by IGBC with prestigious green champion award for leading green building movement in India
Chennai, November 18, 2019: Navin’s Housing and Properties – Chennai's most respected developer, received the coveted and prestigious, ‘Green Champion Award’ from Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) at a glittering ceremony held recently at Hyderabad. The award was given to Navin’s under the category of 'Developer leading the green building movement in India (residential)’. Navin’s has been pioneering the green building movement since the company’s inception and has played a key role in India, emerging as a national green champion. The company has been involved in the development of seven IGBC green building projects in Chennai. A few of their IGBC-rated Green Home projects include the Navin’s Starwood Towers, Gold-rated Maris Dale, Springfield and Jayaram Gardens in Chennai. The annual Green Champion Award is the most prestigious honour bestowed by IGBC upon the leaders of the green building movement in India. Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) established Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), with a vision to enable sustainable built-environment for all and facilitate India to be one of the global leaders in this area by 2025. Commenting on the achievement Dr Kumar, Managing Director – Navin’s, said, “We pioneered the residential green building concept in Tamil Nadu and have always focused our efforts to ensure that our apartments are environment friendly and resource-efficient throughout the building’s life-cycle.
