Nauni varsity professor honoured with 'Excellence in Teaching Award’

Dr DD Sharma, Professor at the Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni was honoured with ‘Excellence in Teaching Award’ at the recently concluded International Conference on ‘Global Research Initiatives for Sustainable Agriculture and Allied Sciences 2018. The conference was held at the Rajasthan Agricultural Research Institute, Durgapura (Jaipur).

Dr Sharma, who is presently heading the Department of Social Sciences at the University. He was bestowed with the award for his contributions to teaching and other academic and extension activities. Dr US Sharma, Vice Chancellor of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur and Dr AK Singh, Secretary National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, presented the award to Dr DD Sharma.

Dr Sharma also presented a lead paper entitled ‘Improving farmers’ socioeconomic status through recent extension approach at the conference. The paper was presented in the Technical session on the theme ‘Social Sciences, Library, Information sciences and Humanities’, which was highly appreciated by all the participating scientists. Leading scientists including vice chancellors of several universities attended the conference.
