Chandigarh, March 21, 2015: The concluding day of Professor Ram Chand Paul National Symposium on “Innovations in Chemical Sciences” organised by the Department of Chemistry, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, witnessed lectures on innovating practices being developed in the field of nanoscience and organic synthesis.
Dr. G.R. Chaudhary from PU discussed innovative effective treatment of dyes using metal oxide nanoparticles. This national symposium in Chemistry was organised on March 20 and 21 in the fond memory of Professor Ram Chand Paul, a chemist of international repute and one of the most respected and memorable former Vice-Chancellor of PU. This annual conference provides a platform to share recent advances in various research fields of the Chemistry.
Over 200 delegates including research scholars, students and faculty members from all over India presented their research work through invited lectures and poster presentations. The best posters were awarded with Professor Ram Chand Paul Purskars in the valedictory function.
The organising secretary, Dr. Gurjaspreet Singh, proposed a vote of thanks to the convener of the conference Prof. K. N. Singh, all non-teaching staff members, research scholars and students for organising such a national event, especially thanking the sponsors and print-media for supporting this event.
