Ludhiana, July 2, 2015: National Sports Organization (NSO) coaching camp for undergraduate students of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) commenced today. As many as 187 students from all the constituent colleges of PAU are attending the camp.
In the Inaugural session, Dr. Ravinder Kaur Dhaliwal, Director Students Welfare was the Chief Guest. While motivating the students she expressed that sports play a vital role in the overall development of the personality of the students. Balanced approach in academics, sports and cultural activities can contribute in an efficient manner to the society, she said. Congratulating the students for attending the camp, she advised them to be regular and learn skills from mentor coaches in an effective manner.
Dr. Sukhbir Singh, Assistant Director Physical Education elaborated that student will take part in various games like Athletic, Basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Cricket, Handball, Hockey, Football, Lawn Tennis, etc. He called upon the students to follow discipline and punctuality during the camp.
