Ferozepur, February 5, 2013: In a meeting of Ferozepur Tehsil Nambardar Union, held under the chairmanship of Sukhraj Singh, president, demanded from the government that nambardars should not be kept under the purview of 120B and given the facilities on the pattern of Haryana government besides giving them honorarium of Rs.2,500 per month, membership in the gram panchayat and in the committees at the district and tehsil level like Market Committee and Public Grievances Committee.
They also demanded for giving them a suitable sitting place in the newly constructed District Administrative Complex and honouring on republic and independence days.
In the meeting, Rajesh Khanna, Paramjit Kaur Sodhi, Trilok pilot, Jagdish lal, Gurmit Singh, Diwan Singh, Bakhshish Singh, Dhara Singh, Dalbir Singh and others were present.
