Joshi foundation organised a painting competition as a dedication to Republic Day

Chandigarh, January 22, 2019: Joshi Foundation organised a painting competition as a dedication to 70th republic day of India Dipped in the colours of patriotism, the theme of the competition was “Patriotic painting competition” it was an inter-school drawing competition held at the gymnasium of Panjab University. The occasion was graced by the honourable governor VP Singh Badnore as the chief guest, who lauded all the children and appreciated their efforts.

Those present on the occasion were VC of Punjab University Prof. Raj Kumar, Chairman of Joshi Foundation Vineet Joshi, renowned cardiologist Dr. HK Bali, Syndicate member of PU Prof. Navdeep Goyal, Ragistrar Prof Karamjeet Singh, SVC Prof Devinder Singh, Director Sports Department Prof Parminder Singh, Prof Sanjay Kaushik, Dean, College Development Council, Panjab University, Prof Sukesh Manav, Professor Dept of Biochemistry, PU , Sh Deepak Kaushik, President, Panjab University Staff (Non-Teaching) Association, Prof. (Dr) Akshay Anand, Professor(Non-Medical), NEUROLOGY, PGI Chandigarh Prof SC Gupta, Chairman, Beti Padao Society, Sh. Amritsagar ji, RSS, Punjab , Prof Rajan Bhandari, President, ABVP, Chandigarh Sh Amit Sood, Sh Ravinder Sharma, Vice Chairman, Chandigarh Lalit kala academy and Saurabh Joshi.

Around 1200 students from the various schools of Chandigarh participated in the competition. The competition was divided into senior and junior wings in which senior section constituted students from standard 7th to 9th and those of junior comprised of Children from 4th to 6th standard. Special talented judges judged the paintings of the participants. Among the junior batch Namarta of St. Solder school sector 28 bagged the 1st prize, ishani hargaya of Ankur School, mailed the 1st runner up and jovanpreet kaur of JJSVM Ratwara Sahib managed the 2nd runnder up award. Appreciation award went to Harman of shishu Niketan Sector 43.

In the senior wing Tanushree Jitha of YPS mohali was awarded the 1st prize. 1st & 2nd runner ups went to Aditi Sharma of Shishu Niketan Sector 22 and Amanpreet Kaur of Sant Varyam School Ratwara Sahib Respectfully, whereas appreciation award went to ishan chauhan of St. Solder school sector 28.

The governor VPS Badnore mingled with all the participants and had a heart feet talk to them. He was amazed at how talented our younger generation is he not only applauded the students but also inspired them to polish their talent further. He also welcomed the teacher who had accompanied the students.

At the end, all the winners were awarded by the chairman of Joshi Foundation Vineet Joshi. Vineet joshi announced to organise 70 various socially driven programmes to commemorate 70the republic day of our country
