Selected candidates to represent Mysuru Warriors in KPL 2018
Bengaluru, July 10, 2018: In line with its vision to nurture sporting talent in the hinterlands of Karnataka, agarbathi to aerospace conglomerate, NR Group, the owners of Mysuru Warriors announced their fifth edition of Talent Hunt in Bengaluru on 15thJuly 2018 at Just Cricket Academy and Mysuru on July 18th July 2018, at SDNR Stadium.Young cricket enthusiasts from across the state are invited to come and participate in the talent hunt to stand a chance to play in KPL, 2018.
Mysuru Warriors, conducted the cricket talent hunt in Mysuru and Bangalore last year which received tremendous response. 2017. Around 205 aspiring cricketers participated from all over Karnataka. Mysuru observed 105 participants, out of which 50 were bowlers, 10 were batsman, 40 were all-rounder and 05 were wicket keeper cum batsman contesting for the position in the team. In Bengaluru, around 100 aspirants participated in the candidature. By the end of the day from both the venues, around 43 players were shortlisted for the final round to play Open Net in PET Cricket Ground, Mandya.
In the end of the final rounds, 12 players were shortlisted who underwent a series of practice sessions with Mysuru Warriors team players, after which two players who were chosen and represent Mysuru Warriors team are;
1. Nanda Kishore – Jo Jo Cricket Club
• Right Arm Fast Bowler
• Right Hand Batsman
2. KishanBedare–National Cricket Club
• Right Hand Top Order Batsman
• Right Arm Medium Fast Bowler
The talent hunt is specially organized for KSCA registered talents from KSCA registered clubs in entire hinterlands of Karnataka, as a lot of potential lies in the area when it comes to Cricket. The talent hunt aims to foster fresh cricketing talent and subsequently coach and nurture them. This initiative of Mysuru Warriors is an opportunity for players to enter the professional cricketing arena. The selected players will get a chance to represent Mysuru Warriors and play at the upcoming KPL 2018 powered by Cycle Pure Agarbathies.
Speaking about the Talent Hunt, Mr. Arjun Ranga, Owner, Mysuru Warriors said, “NR Group has always believed in nurturing talent in sports, be it cricket or any other sports.
