Music Department of Lyallpur Khalsa College organises impressive musical program

Jalandhar, February 6, 2019: The Music Department of Lyallpur Khalsa College organised an impressive musical program which was graced by the presence of Momin Khan, son of eminent Sarangi artist Padama Sri Ustad Moinuddin Khan. College Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra welcomed the guest artist to the college and informed the students about his various accomplishments. Principal Dr.Samra mentioned that Momin Khan belongs to the 8th generation of the famous Jaipur school of Music and students must take inspiration from the presence of such disciplined artists who have rendered music, a new dimension through their immense hard work and dedication. As a part of this musical program, Momin Khan presented various forms of music including various 'Raags' and Film compositions which were greatly enjoyed by the audience. Momin Khan also displayed his brilliance on the instrument of Sarangi. During the presentations, Momin Khan was joined by the immensely talented Prof. Gurchetan Singh from the Music Department of the college. The program was also witnessed by Prof. Sukhdev Singh, Head of the music department and Prof. Pavittar Singh.
