Ludhiana, September 23, 2016: For the benefit of general public the Municipal Corporation offices will remain open on Saturday and Wednesday despite being holidays so that public could pay their pending property tax before September 30. People who will pay property tax before September 30 will get 10 percent rebate on their total tax amount.
At present the department has received Rs 16.80 crores from April 1 till September 21 in the form of property tax.
The MC Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori told that from the past few days there is rush for the payment of property tax at the MC offices and this is the reason offices will remain open on these two public holidays. He said that public should make full use of this opportunity and clear their dues.
