Mukesh Agnihotri asks Himachal CM to fight for demands of state
Dharamshala, November 6, 2019: Mukesh Agnihotri, Leader of Opposition in Himachal Assembly, said that in order to have maximum investment in any state, the roads along with air and rail route should be strengthened.
He said no work has been done for the expansion of the three airports of Shimla Dharamshala and Kullu in the state, adding that much hue and cry was made about 65 thousand crore of comingnational highways in the state, assembly elections were too fought on the same issue, but these highways are not in sight . “The state government should clear the situation on this to the public”, he added.
Agnihotri said that no matter whether we, the leaders of opposition should be invited to the investor meet or not, but the issue is whether the investment is actually coming to the state. He said that instead of making fake statements Chief Minister Jairam Thakur should raise the demands of the Himachal infront of PM Narendra Modi, who is coming to Dharamshala to inaugurate Global Investors’ Meet on 7th November.
“Thakur should insure the Himachalis that the state should get an industrial package afresh, it should be announced during the visit of PM to Dharamshala. At the same time, a loan of about 60 thousand crores is being levied off the state, and/or it should be announced by giving it as special package by the Centre”, said Agnihotri.
Industrialists come to Himachal, Congress supports it, Congress supports investment in Himachal under the rules. He said that if government tries to disinvestment in the name of investment, it will not be approved. It will be opposed.
