MRSAFPI: BADAL monitors progress

Chandigarh, December 9, 2012: Punjab Chief Minister today reviewed the progress of various ongoing construction works at the prestigious Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI) in Mohali and asked the executing agency-GMADA to complete the entire pending works positively by March 31, 2013.

Badal was monitoring the progress of MRSAFPI here at CMR in a meeting with its Director Major General (Retd.) BS Grewal this morning.

The Chief Minister asked the Chief Administrator GMADA to ensure that this state-of-the-art institute must be completed before the start of next academic session that is April, 2013.

Meanwhile, CA GMADA AK Sinha apprised the Chief Minister that all the construction works in the institute were being executed at war footing and closely monitored by him to ensure the quality construction of building as well as the infrastructure. He said the entire infrastructure including approach roads, sewerage works, boundary wall, indoor shooting range, installation of water heating system, furniture, water irrigation and sprinkler system would be in place by the end of current financial year. He also assured the Chief Minister that the Stables, Squash court and Director’s residence would be ready by January 15, 2013 and Swimming Pool up to March 31, 2013.

The meeting was attended by CA PUDA Manvesh Singh Sidhu, Special Principal Secretary to the CM KJS Cheema and SE GMADA SS Dhindsa.
