MP RAVNEET SINGH BITTU INAUGURATES WORK OF CLEANING SEWERS USING SUPER SUCTION MACHINE IN DABA AREA

PROJECT TO BENEFIT RESIDENTS OF SIX MUNICIPAL WARDS: RAVNEET SINGH BITTU

Ludhiana, February 22, 2019: Ludhiana MP Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu today inaugurated the start of work of cleaning sewers using super suction machines in Daba area of the city. Costing around Rs 33 lakh, this project would clean 1850 meter long sewer lines in next two months time.

While speaking to media persons on the occasion, Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu stated that the area residents were facing huge problem due to constant blockage of sewer lines for the last some years. He said that after this issue came to his knowledge, he asked the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana officials to ensure all sewers are cleaned on priority basis.

He said that special machinery for this project has been hired from Jalandhar and it would cost around Rs 33 lakh to clean 1850 metre sewer lines. He said that this project would benefit residents of around six municipal wards such as ward numbers 29, 30, 31, 32, 37 and some portion of ward number 33. Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu said that this particular project would be completed in next two months time.

The Ludhiana MP said that super suction machines for cleaning sewer lines would be deputed in all municipal wards facing the problem of choked sewers.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included MC Zonal Commissioner Mr Jasdev Singh Sekhon, Councillor Mr Jaspal Singh, Mr Kamaljit Singh Karwal, Mr Resham Singh Saggu, Mr Sherry Garcha, besides several others.
