More than 30,000 youths participate in Army recruitment rally

Ferozepur, September 6, 2012 :  In the recruitment rally started from  September 3 at Jyoti Stadium, more than 30,000 youths reached for the posts of sepoy and clerk (whole Punjab) from Ferozepur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar and Bathinda districts, said Col Sanjeev Sirohi, Executive Deputy Director, General Recruitment (Punjab, J&K) while speaking to the media persons where Col Atul Bisht and Col Arinadam and others were present.

Col Sirohi said that the main motto of the army, at the time of recruitment is right selection and there is a complete transparency in the recruitment process of the army.  He further said that in this recruitment rally, there is complete cooperation from the district administration, police and general public. 

In this recruitment process, about 1600 candidates have cleared the tests at different stages, who will be appearing in the written test after medical check-up on 28 October at Jalandhar.

Every year in Punjab , about four-five thousands youths are recruited in the Army in the category of Sepoy in different cadres.  He appealed to the parents of the youths interested for joining the room to be aware of the touts and in event of having contact with any such persons, the police authorities may be informed immediately.
