MONITORING TEAM VISITED CLUSTER FLDS OF SUMMER MOONG

Ludhiana, June 14, 2017: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Fatehgarh Sahib had organized 50 Front Line Demonstrations on Summer Moong under Cluster FLDs on Pulses and Oilseeds under NFSM and NMOP during 2016-17. Under this FLD programme the farmers were provided with all critical inputs for the conduct for demonstrations including seed, fungicide for seed treatment, weedicide and insecticide.

The monitoring team that includes Dr. Satpal Saini (Senior Soil Scientist), Dr.Guriqbal Singh (Senior Agronomist), Dr.Pankaj Sharma (Assistant Plant Pathologist), Mr. Narinder Singh from ATARI has visited the various fields of Summer Moong on June 14. Dr.Vipan Kumar Rampal Deputy Director (Trg.), KVK, Fatehgarh Sahib, Dr. Arvind Preet Kaur Assistant Professor (Horticulture) and Mrs. Reet Verma Assistant Professor (Plant Protection) also accompanied the monitoring team to show the various FLDs of Summer Moong in Cluster approach. The monitoring team was satisfied with the performance of FLDs and also gave some suggestions for improvement in this programme for the future.
