Jalandhar, December 18, 2014: Monica Sharma, Assistant Professor (CSE/IT) at CT Group of Institutions has brought laurels for her career and organisation by presenting a Paper worked on the “Analysis of Interleaving Scheme for Narrowband VOIP System under Pervasive Environment” at International Conference on Computer, Communications and Information Sciences, and Engineering. The two days conference was held at London (UK), recently. The travel grant for the same was given to her by Punjab Technical University (PTU).

The authors of the presented paper include Dr Manju Bala (Head & Associate Professor, CSE Department) and  Harjit Pal Singh (Asst. Prof., ECE Dept).

Sharma presented a paper in technical presentation in which she discussed about the voice communication done through Internet called VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) and showed her research work to improve the quality of signal at the receiver end using interleaving scheme which gets degraded due to packet loss and other distortions in the environment. She was awarded with a certificate of appreciation for her research work. The conference was conducted with the objective to bring together leading researchers, scholars and practitioners from academia and industry from all over the World.

Sharma’s visit is considered a step forward for the CT Group of Institutions, Jalandhar, in order to meet the vital need of international exposure to the faculty members and up-gradation of the institute in terms of human resource development, entrepreneurship development, business management and various other academic and research related projects at the international level.

“Excellence for the CT Group of Institutions, Jalandhar, is not limited to knowledge and research experience,” said  Monica Sharma, adding she said,” Our educational institutions are constantly looking for opportunities to share the knowledge, gained through international visit, with students at UG, PG and PhD level through different modes like, interaction, discussion and lectures.”

Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) and Dr. Manoj Kumar (Group Director, CT Institutions) congratulated Monica and other associates for bringing laurels for their organisation.
