Jalandhar, February 12, 2016: MoneyGram (NASDAQ: MGI), an official sponsor of the 2016 ICC World Twenty20, is giving cricket fans a chance to see the tournament live in India when they participate in the MoneyGram Bowling Challenge in cities across the country.

The bowling challenge will be open to fans in over 50 cities. In some locations, fans will have the opportunity to meet their cricket icons and interact with them. The bowler with the fastest delivery will win match tickets to the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 and receive a cash prize.

“We have seen tremendous success since joining hands with the ICC in 2010, as it resonates in every corner of India as well as with the Indian diaspora living around the world,” says Kaushik Roy, MoneyGram’s Senior Regional Director for South Asia and GCC. “At MoneyGram we constantly try to ‘bring people closer’ and there is no better platform than the game which connects people across the world. We are pleased to announce the bowling challenge to leverage our association with cricket and an opportunity to bring fans closer to the coveted World Twenty20 experience in India.”

MoneyGram International recently announced that it has agreed to continue its sponsorship of the International Cricket Council (ICC) tournaments for an additional eight years, through until the year 2023. The new agreement marks an extension of MoneyGram’s initial five-year relationship with the ICC that included sponsorship of the 2011 and 2015 World Cup tournaments.

The MoneyGram Golden Arm Bowling Challenge kicks-off in Jalandhar today, and will then travel to Phagwara, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Moga and Gurdaspur in Punjab. The tour will then head to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Kerala.

MoneyGram bowling Challenge has already commenced in Gujarat this week.
