Jalandhar, September 21, 2014: Mohinder Gupta, Managing Director Vinko Auto Industries Ltd Jalandhar has been nominated as the new President of All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA) at the 62nd AGM of the Association held at Mumbai.
AIRIA is the apex national body for rubber industry in India which comprises around 6000 small, medium and large rubber units with a turnover of over Rs 65000 crore and employing half a million skilled manpower.
A seasoned industrialist, Gupta has served illustrious innings in the rubber sector in India. Having set up an Auto rubber parts unit way back in 1965 in Jalandhar (Punjab), Gupta has worked incessantly for development of rubber sector particularly in North India which today accounts for a significant percentage of rubber units in the country.
Given his stature, Gupta has been entrusted with the responsibility of India Rubber Expo 2015 as its Chairman. India Rubber Expo, India’s flagship rubber industry event and largest in South Asia is scheduled to be held from 15th to 17th January 2015 at Pragati Maidan New Delhi. He is also Vice Chairman of Chemicals and Allied Products Export Promotion Council (CAPEXIL) Rubber Products Panel, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India.
