Mock fire & evacuation drill held at I S Dev Samaj School

Chandigarh, January 21, 2018: A mock fire and evacuation drill involving students and staff members was conducted at I.S. Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Sector 21C, Chandigarh. Officers from the fire department - Jagtar Singh & Surjeet Singh along with their colleagues organised the mock drill. The team explained and demonstrated various improvised methods being followed by them to rescue and evacuate people caught in an emergency situations, besides ways to operate fire extinguisher safely. The team also explained different types of fire emergencies and how to deal with them swiftly. A demonstration of fire department's latest AFT (Advance Fire Technology) enabled small truck of 'Fire and Emergency Services' was also held. "The drill created awareness among students about fire fighting techniques and ways to respond swiftly in times of such an emergency." Said Loveleen Bedi , Principal, I S Dev Samaj School.
