Ferozepur, December 11, 2019: In a big respite to thousands of construction workers, MLA Ferozepur city Pinki got released the welfare funds worth Rs.2.52 Crore which will soon be directly transferred into the bank accounts of all beneficiaries.
Divulging the details, MLA Parminder Singh Pinki said that Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab Government is committed for the upliftment and welfare of the weaker sections of the society as a part of which a sum of Rs.2.52 Crore has been transferred to the construction welfare board by the district administration Ferozepur.
He said that the transferred amount is pertaining to the period of six months (Sept 2018 to March 2019) and will benefit the 2702 construction workers.
The MLA added that a sum of Rs. 21520000 will be released under the Stipend (wajifa) scheme for the children of construction workers. Similarly Rs.11,30,000 will be transferred for LTC, Rs 80,000 for cremation, Rs. 16,000,00 as ex-gretia, Rs. 1,02,000 for Balri scheme, Rs. 80,000 for treatment of mentally retarded dependents, Rs. 93,000 for Shagun, Rs. 5,84,000 for surgery and Rs. 15,000 for the delivery purpose will be transferred to all 2702 beneficiaries of Tehsil Ferozepur.
Mr. Pinki further added that the construction workers are the integral part of our society and he would leave no stone unturned to serve this community.
The MLA said that such unorganized sectors are on the priority list of the government so that maximum help can be extended to them in order to bring prosperity and ease in their lives.
He said that the construction workers welfare scheme has proved to be a boon for this segment as a large number of beneficiaries are being benefited in the district.
