MORE THAN 1100 ATHLETES/PLAYERS TAKE PART IN U-25 GAMES ORGANISED UNDER MISSION TANDRUST PUNJAB
Ludhiana, October 26, 2018: Dedicated to the Mission Tandrust Punjab, the Sports Department of Punjab government is organising District Level Sports Tournament for U-25 (boys & girls) in 17 different sports categories namely athletics, basketball, badminton, table tennis, football, kabaddi, kho kho, judo, gymnastics, wrestling, volleyball, hockey, handball, boxing, swimming, weightlifting, roller skating, etc. District Sports Officer Mr Ravinder Singh informed that more than 1100 athletes/players are participating in these sporting events that are taking place in Guru Nanak Stadium, besides other venues in the city.
He informed that during the athletics events that took place at Guru Nanak Stadium, here, Vipanjeet Kaur from Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town, Ludhiana stood first in 100m race, Sukhwinder Kaur of GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sudhar stood second, while Monica of Ramgarhia Girls College, Miller Ganj stood third.
