Ludhiana, February 8, 2013: Gurpeet Kumar (14), a resident of Hazoori Bagh Colony, Ludhiana was killed in a road accident on elevated road from Chand Cinema to Jagraon Bridge on Friday.
The deceased was travelling on a scooter that was being driven by his father Kuldip Kumar.
The scooter was hit by a car from the rear side on the elevated road near MTS College. As a result, Gurpreet fell down of the elevated road following which he sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to a private hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His father also sustained severe injuries who is undergoing treatment.
When contacted, Surinder Mohan, SHO, Police Division No. 1, Ludhiana told City Air News that the car was being driven by Paramjot Singh.
Paramjot has been arrested and his car has been impounded.
A case has been registered in this regard.
