Mid Term Conference of SPOSI co-hosted by Sankara Eye Hospital in collaboration with LOS on April 5

Ludhiana, April 3, 2015: Sankara Eye Hospital, Ludhiana, is organising the Mid Term Conference of the Strabismus & Paediatric Ophthalmology Society of India (SPOSI). The conference is being organised by its academic wing – Sankara Academy of Vision in collaboration with Ludhiana Ophthalmic Society on April 5 in Ludhiana.

The first of its kind meeting in the state would see a congregation of eminent faculty from across India – Srinagar to Bangalore & Chennai and from Kolkata to Rajasthan, share their latest scientific work and experience in the field.

On the occasion of the Conference Dr. Madhu Karna, Paediatric Ophthalmologist at Sankara Eye Hospital, Ludhiana and Organising Secretary commented that “delegates attending will benefit from the highly interactive academic program with clinical talks and case discussions. Treating children’s eyes needs special training and expertise and in the current evolving era of modern technology, one has to keep track of the latest developments, watch and learn from the experts.

From newer modalities of treating eye ailments in children, with drops and video games to innovative surgical approaches, the delegates would hear experts speak about amblyopia (Lazy eye) to strabismus (Squint) and retinal tumors. These will be discussed in combination of lectures, video presentations and panel discussions.
