Chandigarh August 8, 2013: Punjab Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal today facilitated the people of Punjab especially the Muslim community on the eve of Id-ul-Fitr. In his message, Badal said that this festival gives the message of brotherhood, compassion and spirit of sharing besides marking the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan. Calling upon the people to celebrate the festival collectively, Badal said that may this festival spread peace, harmony in Punjab.

Sukdev Singh Dhindsa, Secretary General of Sharomani Akali Dal and Rajya Sabha Member and Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Finance Minister of Punjab today greets the people of Punjab especially the Muslim brethren on the eve of Id-ul-Fitr. In his message, they said that the festival marks the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan and symbolizes brotherhood, compassion and spirit of sharing. Id-ul-Fitr also reflects the true spirit of our composite culture.

The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Shivraj V. Patil today greeted the people of Punjab and Chandigarh on the eve of Id-ul-Fitr. Patil said that the festival marks the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan and brings to the fore the noble instincts in people. Id-ul-Fitr evokes feelings of brotherhood, compassion and sharing in all and strengthens the pluralistic bonds of our composite society. In his message, the Governor urged the people to celebrate Id-ul-Fitr with a spirit of communal harmony, peace, love, cooperation and mutual understanding which would go a long way in strengthening the national unity and integrity.

Punjab Revenue & Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia today felicitated the people on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr. Congratulating the people on the eve of this holy festival,  Majithia said that Eid-ul-Fitr brings joy and happiness to the people on the culmination of the month of holy Ramadan, a period of fasting, prayer and charity. Exhorting the people to celebrate this festival collectively, Majithia wished that celebrations would inspire people to follow the path of love and compassion besides strengthening mutual goodwill.

Meanwhile, Partap Singh Bajwa, President, PPCC has also greeted the people of Punjab especially the Muslim brethren on the eve of Id-ul-Fitr. In his message, he said that the festival marks the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan and symbolizes brotherhood, compassion and spirit of sharing. Id-ul-Fitr also reflects the true spirit of our composite culture.  He urged people from all communities to jointly celebrate the festival to strengthen communal harmony.
