MEMORIES OF ATAL BIHARI VAJPAYEE STILL ALIVE IN DOABA COLLEGE

Jalandhar, August 17, 2018: Principal Dr Naresh Kumar Dhiman of Doaba College Jalandhar said that the entire Doaba fraternity viz staff, management and students condoles the untimely death of Atal Bihari Vajpayee , former Prime Minister of India. Dr Dhiman said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee visited twice at Doaba college, his last visit to college was in 1999 in a special function where he was accorded with Virendra Award by Chander Mohan, President, College Managing Committee and then Principal Ashwani Kumar Sharma. Speaking on the occasion, Vajpayee said that he was elated with the academic progress of the institution and he motivated the students and staff to work for the overall growth and progress of the country. Chander Mohan said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee is still alive in the memories of Doaba College. Remembering Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Chander Mohan said that he was a charismatic poet, an avid freedom-fighter, far-sighted statesman, ace journalist , class orator and a a great visionary. He established himself as iconic Prime Minister who was known for his cultural moderation, liberalism and political reasonableness.
