Members of All Industries and Trade Forum and Byopaar Mandal meet CPS Sarup Singla

Bathinda, July 30, 2012: A delegation of All Industries and Trade Forum and Byopaar Mandal met Sarup Singla ,CPS Excise and Taxation today in Bathinda, The delegation apprised Singla about the hardship regarding latest notification of online billing,

The deputationists told that this online billing will be mostly used by the bogus bill companies as only 10% of the units are having internet and full time accountant facility, most of the industries will not be able to follow this notification.

This will enhance the office expenditure by 20000 (accounts and net expenses) per month, which is not in favour of trade and industry.

The power and internet facility is not that good in Punjab, so it will be difficult for the industrialist to supply material on time this will enhance the corruption in the department, the deputationists observed.

They further said the site of department is not even good for filing tax returns and if the sale will be dependent upon such site, the industrialist will have to suffer a lot.

Further, they pointed out that as most of the traders and industrialist are illiterate, their staff could misuse their password and user ID, for their vested interests.

Singla assured that in the meeting of excise committee on Tuesday, he will try to resolve this issue.

The deputationists warned that the trade and industry would go on hunger strike from August 9 if nothing concrete was done in this regard.
