Jalandhar, November 1, 2012: In Punjab at Jalandhar, Mela Gadri Babian Da is being organised.
On the third day a painting contest was organised, to dedicate to the Azad Hind Fauj. As many as 37 teams participated in the quiz at Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Hall.
The Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee's general secretary Raghbir Kaur, Cultural Wing, convener Amolak Singh and Ghadar Century Campaign Committee co-convener Gurmeet Singh were among those, addressed the audience.
During the quiz contests, Bharat Mata Society, Jalandhar, stood first, Guru Nanak National Colege for Women, Nakodar, declared second and Little Angels School, Kapurthala, placed third.
Ankur Public School, Mehatpur, and Pajulwari Senior Secondary School, Lohian Khas bagged consolation prizes, yesterday.
A,B and C, three categories in painting contests were held, in which a total of 600 students took part. During the contest ,three prizes were announced per category.
