A delegation of FASII members honouring the Excise and Taxation Commissioner Anurag Verma at Patiala on Tuesday.
Patiala, January 22, 2013: A delegation of FASII members met the Excise and Taxation Commissioner Anurag Verma, Joint Commissioner -I, Joint Commissioner-II, DETC-VAT, Commissioner Vigilance - Amrik Singh here today.
Besides them, all the senior officers of the Department were present.
The delegation discussed the problems of industry with VAT Department in details, and Commissioner agreed on most of the issues, said a FASII release.
According to the FASSI president Badish Jindal, the ETC informed that from February 1, entry tax payment will be online and alongwith this very soon the tax payments will be made online too.
ETC further informed that old assesses will not be harassed and the new assesses will be monitored carefully,
terminals of Ludhiana railways stations will be enhanced very soon.
ETC asked the delegation to submit the complete detailed report in next meeting.
He assured that in case of harassment on transit of material, the federation may contact him immediately.
Further, ETC assured that instead of scrutiny assessment of small assesses only the scrutiny of higher sale dealers will be done that also on the basis of information.
Jindal said the Federation will have some more round of meetings with these officials so as to amend the policies in the favour of assesses and department as well. This will decrease the harassment and corruption, he hoped.
