MCL gets the sanitation employees honoured through RWAs and NGOs

Ludhiana, July 21, 2016: In order to motivate the sanitation employees the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana has started getting them honoured at the hands of residents welfare associations and NGOs on Wednesday.
On Wednesday four sanitation employees were honoured by the members of Guru Singh Sabha Gurudwara Sarabha Nagar Prabhandak Committee for excellence in service.
It is according to the direction of Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India under Swachh Bharat Mission the services and work of sanitation employees is to be appreciated and honouring by NGOs, RWAs and other institutions during theme based drive from July 16 July to 31.
It is pertinent to mention here that earlier also the civic officials had organized a walkathon for encouragement of these sanitation employees. They were asked to clap for themselves and their efforts which they put in cleaning the public parks. In yet another program the department appreciated the efforts of the RWAs so as to engage them and increase their activities in their localities.
The additional commissioner Surabhi Malik told that main aim is to motivate the sanitation employees so that they should perform their duties in well manner. She told that they would organize more such events for the sanitation employees.
Meanwhile the MCL Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that various programs are being covered under the SBM and this is one such drive where they have to motivate sanitation employees because these people have to clean the localities.
