MCL asks IIALC to assist in RWH

Ludhiana, August 20, 2019: Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana (MCL) had a meeting today with representatives of IIA Ludhiana Center to assist more in successful implementation of rain water harvesting ( RWH) in private buildings.

In government buildings and open areas Government will take its own concrete steps as disclosed by Dr Sumit Mud, Joint Commissioner Zone D MCL while chairing the meeting.

Presently there is only security to be deposited at the time of approval of building plans beyond 100 square yards and Government is going to increase the fine in coming times so that more and more people implement RWH in their buildings.

Those implementing rain water harvesting in upcoming new buildings as well as old buildings will be honoured by MCL and IIALC.

Ar Sanjay Goel, Chairman IIA Punjab Chapter and also one of the nominated Director of upcoming Smart City Ludhiana requested local Government to integrate all important components of green buildings in coming times especially for the bigger buildings having plot area of more than 300 Square yards and RWH will be automatically covered.

Ar Bimaldeep Singh Press Secretary of IIALC suggested MCL to start a mobile app through which architects of corporation and IIALC can work together for upcoming smart city. Awareness hoardings about rain water harvesting will be put up by the IIALC in coordination with LG.

The meeting was also attended by Ar Monica Anand MTP, Ar Vijay Kumar ATP, Ar Vikas Sharma, Ar Aakriti Sharma, Ar Simran Gulati, Ar Usha Rani, Ar Mani Talwar and Ar Sheenam Dhami.
